Sormac grader spare parts now stocked in Northwood, OH

The name Sormac originates from SORting MAChines, referring to our very first equipment: cucumber grading machines. Founded in Venlo – a key horticultural region in the Netherlands where cucumbers were traditionally grown – Sormac has since become a leading supplier of vegetable processing equipment.

Since 2003, we have proudly served our U.S. customers in collaboration with Billy Mims Repair Service in South Carolina. As the former Backus Sormac company, we have built up extensive experience in cucumber grading, supported by the expertise of the “pickleman” Billy Mims.

Effective September 1, 2025, all original spare parts for your Backus Sormac cucumber grading installations are supplied directly from our Sormac Inc. facility in Northwood, OH.

This change allows us to serve you faster and more efficiently.
