Always Fresh technology and expertise

From versatile, easy-to-operate standalone machines to fully configurable processing lines and complete projects, Sormac helps companies make their processes more hygienic, efficient, sustainable and profitable. Whether it concerns a fresh kitchen requiring flexibility and batch production, or a producer focused on high volumes and automation, Sormac offers solutions that grow alongside the customer’s ambitions.

Visitors will see how Sormac continuously raises the bar in terms of product quality, hygienic machine design, automation and process efficiency. Sormac’s experts, international sales team and dealer network will be on hand to advise and support customers.

Hygienic machine design

Sormac will present its vision on hygienic machine design, a central principle in the development of new machines. The design principles focus on optimal cleanability to enable effective disinfection. This results in microbiologically safe machines that deliver higher food safety, premium product quality, and extended shelf life.

To substantiate these design principles, Sormac has conducted extensive microbiological research, both in its own laboratory and at vegetable processing companies. These tests have generated valuable insights that have been directly translated into further optimisation of machine design, including the USM-H100 onion peeler, which will be on display at the stand.

Combating aphids in lettuce

With the withdrawal of crop protection products against aphids, growers and vegetable processors face a growing challenge. Aphids not only cause damage in the field but also create quality issues on the processing line. To address this, Sormac is researching various adaptations to existing washing technology at its laboratory in Venlo, in collaboration with Vertify* and several leading Dutch lettuce processors, to effectively remove aphids without chemical agents. Sormac's experts will be available on the stand to discuss these findings with customers.

Live machine demonstrations

At the event, Sormac will provide live demonstrations of a wide range of machines:

Peeling machines:

Vegetable and fruit cutting machines:

Coring machines:

Drying:

Automation:

  • OptiView camera system enabling real-time monitoring and video recording at critical points in production
  • OptiPro vision technology for process optimisation and quality monitoring in leafy vegetable processing

Project expertise

In addition to machines and processing lines, Sormac supports processors with complete vegetable processing projects, from concept and engineering through to realisation. With intensive guidance and extensive process knowledge, Sormac delivers solutions focused on continuity and efficient operations. At the exhibition, Sormac will showcase its advanced post-harvest solutions for leafy vegetables within Controlled Environment Agriculture (CEA).

"Continuity in production, smart and easy-to-operate machines, and a constant focus on quality and sustainability are at the heart of everything we do. At this exhibition, we will demonstrate how our solutions contribute to the success of our customers."
